Born in 1989, Baroda, Gujarat. Harshida karumanchi has a BFA in painting from Ipcowala Santram college of Fine Arts, Anand and an MVA from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Harshida has won numerous awards, Best painting work award at ipcowala santram college of fine arts 2008. silver medal in 7th National Art competition, Ujjain, M.P 2008. gold medal in Kalavart National Art, Ujjain, M.P 2008. 6th National Art Competition, Ujjain, M.P 2007 and actively participated in group shows, 2016 “I AM THE MAGIC HAND”, Faculty of fine art MSU, Baroda. 2015 The Golden Thread, West Hartford, CT, USA. 2014 Shrishti Art Gallery, Hyderabad. 2014 Group of class MVA 2nd Faculty of fine art MSU, Baroda. 2013 Art show on the occasion of Alumni, Baroda. 2012 Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. 2009 Kala Latin Academy, Ahmedabad. 2008 7th National Art Competition, Ujjain, M.P. 2008 Kalavart National Art, Ujjain, M.P. Now she is a freelance artist at VIS A VIS Studio.

Her work depicts the combination of feelings generated by human mind and heart. The true feelings which are not visible to the physical world but felt by the person are brought on the canvas.

Her art beautifully portrays a communication breakdown: the unexpressed, suppressed frustration and anger felt so deeply within, biologically. The works have an undercurrent of calmness and serenity that add to the surrealistic impression to many of her paintings

The artist often chooses to paint in blacks and greys using oil paints. The process of making art has also, a therapeutic relation with the artist. Similarly, her drawings have a skilful use of single continuous lines that make portraits as the end result. The feeling, again, expressed through the intensity of the lines used. The pleasure and the ability to capture the art on canvas also led Harshida to be a passionate about photography and digital art that she is now working with
